OutlierScan

Terms of Service

Last updated: August 10, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and OutlierScan. By creating an account or using the service, you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What OutlierScan is

OutlierScan is a research tool for YouTube creators. It reports statistics about public YouTube videos and channels, computes outlier scores from those statistics, and lets you search, save, and organize the results. It includes a website and a Chrome extension that shows outlier score badges while you browse YouTube.

OutlierScan is an independent product. It has no affiliation with YouTube or Google, and is not endorsed by or sponsored by either. All statistics come from the official YouTube Data API and describe publicly available content.

3. Acceptable use

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. When reasonable, we will warn you first.

4. Subscriptions and billing

5. Your content

Boards, saved videos, and saved searches you create stay yours. We only use them to run the service for you, as described in the Privacy Policy.

6. Disclaimer of warranties

The service is provided "as is" and "as available." We work hard to keep it accurate and online, but we make no warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. Statistics come from a third-party API and can be delayed, incomplete, or wrong. Outlier scores are estimates, not guarantees that any video idea will perform.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, OutlierScan is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue, or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Changes to the service or these terms

We may change features, plans, or these terms over time. If we make a meaningful change to these terms, we will update the date at the top and notify members by email or an in-app notice before the change takes effect. Using the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
